Well, I missed my 20 for last week; however, I hit a 100 miles for August. This week will be easy I only need 6 more miles! What a slow painful run, at least for the first couple miles. About 1 block into it my ankles hurt immensely, probably from running 7 miles last night? I almost ran back home. Every step was nothing less than agonizing pain, I even ran in the grass when I could. After convincing my self to at least run a mile or 2, the next thing I knew it was the 14 I set out to do! Pain is only temporary, Chris Activity

100 Miles for August
30 August 2009
Just a Sunday Running 5.0.0.191
Nothing special about this run accept it's my first time running 5.0.0.191 on my BlackBerry. 5.0.0.191 is the latest operating system that leaked for the BlackBerry Tour (Codename: Niagara) it just went from 4.7 to 5.0. This is a big jump as far as code is considered. My AllSport GPS worked flawlessly, Slacker Radio had no issues and I was able to listen to chapter 8 from "Consent to Kill" with PodTrapper. So 5.0.0.191 is turning out to be a pretty solid operating system for me. The only issues I've had is my Vlingo was broken by the update to 5.0.0.191 and Viigo won't scroll, but Viigo is a feed reader so I can still get the headline and excerpt without scrolling. I just hope these two developers catch up with the new 5.0 operating system! So this was a good Sunday run; the new shoes are great. I just fell short of my 20 miles for the week and I'm a bit shy of 100 for the month. One day left for August, I may have to run it out tomorrow? Still not as fast as my ISP: Now back to Wolfenstein! Without a Moment To Spare
What a great run, I had to break down and get some new shoes. The New Balance 757's just didn't cut it I'd rather run in combat boots! Well, I got some ASICS the girl at Dick's had me run on a treadmill to see how I undepronate and what kind of shoes I need. She was extremely knowledgeable and I have to say, these shoes rock! I wish I could get more than 300 miles out of a pair of shoes if I ran 100 miles a week like I want to, I'd need shoes every month. The run tonight was risky, as in rain. I ran out into what was a lightning storm over the hill. The rumbling was a little un-nerving running with a $500 BlackBerry, but I made it before the rain hit. As soon as I turned onto my street it started by the time I got my key in the door it was pouring! I cant complain now its time for a beer and a some Wolfenstein! Activity

Keep Dealing that Race Card! Not much to do with running, but you have got to listen to this... I hope he fails, he has more czars than Russia ever had and this Loon Watson wants us to be like Cuba. Don't drink the Kool-Aid! |

Run 25 Aug 2nd Part
And here is the second part of tonight's run. I had some GPS issues and had to bust this into two separate runs. It's only a few miles, but if when they say: "An apple a day..." I'm sure a few miles a day can't hurt. Activity

Run 25 Aug 1st Part
I stopped and restarted my GPS for this run. It's a long story, but I have my reasons. I'll be posting the 2nd half in a few minutes. And my damn right leg hurt again! It's going to fine I can handle the pain nothing permanent I just know. Activity

Blisters
What a relaxing run! I was able to listen to over an hour and a half of Consent To Kill. Consent to Kill is the 7th published novel by Vince Flynn, and the 6th in a series that features CIA counter-terrorism agent Mitch Rapp. Enough about that just start reading the series. On to the blisters my new shoes are nice and comfortable, but not my previous pair. I now have two blisters one on each foot. I'm not crying about it as I love blisters; they are like extra sensors on my feet. Overall, I felt faster in the Saucony Grid Launch and just may have to get another pair. Activity
