This was an exiting run, I especially liked seeing my time, as every mile marker had a timer clock. acording to the timer clocks...my 1st mile was 06:30 2nd 14:00 3rd 21:30 and so on...it was cool, never had to look at my GPS. This time I started towards the front so I never had to pass crowds of slower runners, like the Tyranena Beer Run. Starting this way was a good idea, as I started with forward momentum, violence of action! Was shooting for 45:00 or less, but I was 46:?? something? I forgot to stop my GPS at the finish line so I don't know for sure (until the results are posted). All in all, I'm content with my time I gave 110% as always; next time I'll have to be faster! This is fast... The best part was that I finished my run at about the same exact time my friends Mike and Kelly finished. They ran the 5k and I had a 10 minute head start on them, running the 10k, but what are the chances out of the 1000's of runners to cross the finish line at almost the same time? My other friend "Frank The Tank" came in just under an hour and Tyler and his sister came in shortly there after. Results----> Here Happy Thanksgiving and again, Chris Activity

New Shoes
Tough and uncertain times; for sure, I'd like to just say you keep the CHANGE, but I had to breakdown and get new shoes again! I picked up a pair of ASICS’ GEL-Nimbus 11 this time; my last pair were Nimbus 9 or 10 I can't remember? These shoes are great, especially combined with the Sole Dean Karnazes footbeds. I hit the road for a quick run tackling a few good hills well, what this town has to offer. Nothing like the BERGKÖNIG "Mountain King" Run, but hills none the less. I'm very happy with these shoes and may stick with the Nimbus for my next pair or go back to Saucony Grid Launch or just get both next time? Back to Modern Warfare 2, Chris Activity

Quick Run for Lunch
It's just way to nice out to wait and run after work. I decided to skip a meal and go for a quick run. Of course, I'll find a way to eat I stuffed a left over Pizza Hut Pizone in the microwave, I'll chow down on the way out the door! Time for new shoes, Chris Activity

Had to DIG DEEP!
Started out feeling real good, but ended up having to dig deeper and deeper to keep up my pace. I think it has something to do with playing Modern Warfare 2 non stop with no time to run. In between matches I knock-out sit-ups or push-ups since I'm just eating pizza and drinking beer or Mtn Dew. Thus, tonight I really felt the pain in the abs. I think their smoked? As I was hoofin' along I felt like I was moving at the speed of a sheepherder pacing himself off his Budweiser donkey. All of a sudden, I ended up passing a few crazy runners, running in the rain in November. I thought to my self now their going to pass me; it was all I could do to keep moving along and then after a few blocks, I looked back and realized, I was running at a descent pace! They never had a chance, Chris Activity

IT'S ABOUT TIME
It's been a little over a week since I ran last and it was about time! This run was short, but I felt as strong as a horse. All I need to do is work on speed, some short fast runs. The reason I haven't run in a week is Modern Warfare 2, since it's historic release exactly a week ago, I haven't stopped playing! And I'm not alone first day sales well over 5 million. I have eaten nothing but pizza and didn't even shave for the first few days, I couldn't set the controller down. Well, I need to get running at least 20 miles a week again because, when I don't I have nightmares and start going stir-crazy. This is awsome... Tyranena Beer Run
This was a half marathon 13.1 miles; however, I must have run the outside of the corners and I know I zigzagged a lot passing in the first few miles. My GPS insists it was 13.76 for an 8:06mm. The Online Race Results have me at a 8:32mm the actual time of 1:51:38 is within 8 seconds of my GPS time, so the added distance must be the turns, etc...; whatever, I trust AllSport! After all, when a course is measured for certification, it is done along the "Shortest Possible Route" (SPR) that a runner can take. For some reason this run damn near killed me; I had all I could do to hoof it along at any pace. By mile 2, I had to piss like a race horse and not a Porta-John in sight till around mile 10. Moreover, back around mile 7 to 8 I had a traffic cop try to stop myself and other runners to let traffic flow on Hwy A or Main St. from Glacial Drumlin Trail. That's how this race went for me, to say the least, I did not stop for traffic! Well, some days you got it some days you don't! I did get a cool shirt and a few Tyranena beers with a plate of lazania. All in all, not bad, my goal was between 1:35:00 and 1:45:00 considering I felt like absolute hell running; I'll take the 1:51:38 which landed me 228 out of 865 runners.
